Michael
grew up in South Sacramento, spending his formative
years there before moving to the Bay Area to attend
college and eventually law school. After receiving his
degree in 1986, he returned to Sacramento and began
practicing in the business department of McDonough,
Holland & Allen PC, where he has remained for the
past 19 years. He currently serves as the manager and
Practice Group Leader of the firm's 25-attorney Business
Services Group. Michael and his wife, Helen, have two
sons, Matthew, 9, and Mitchell, 7. His fond recollections
of ABAS include working with Judge Cheryl Megan, Rick
Uno, Will Yee and others to establish and award the
first ABAS scholarship. He delights in noting the continual
and substantial growth of the scholarship program under
the long-standing leadership of dedicated ABAS members,
such as Jerilyn Pak, Mike Nakagawa and Toso Himel. Michael
greatly appreciates the opportunity to be active in
organizations such as ABAS, and thanks ABAS for not
only for allowing him a sense of service to the community,
but also for training him to be a leader in other endeavors.
